Tenure Track Faculty Position in Hydrology

The School of Earth Sciences in the College of the Arts & Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in hydrology, with a rank commensurate with qualifications. This position is part of the Climate, Water, and Carbon Program, a ~$12M program funded by OSU. The successful candidate must have earned a Ph.D. and have demonstrated capabilities in attracting externally funded research. We are looking for an individual with vision, a recognized research reputation based on a strong publication record, and an ability to work across disciplinary boundaries in a collegial environment.

Research areas might include model-based understanding of the connections between the global climate and water cycles, measurements from satellites and field-based studies toward the development of historic climate change and future water availabilities, the role of wetlands in global climate, etc. The successful candidate will be a persuasive communicator of knowledge and is expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
