Research Interests
I am interested in the underlying factors that motivate individuals and drive choice
behavior in environmental policy and management contexts. I am also interested in
the application of decision aiding techniques and methodologies that enhance both
risk communication and decision making in these same contexts. I have conducted
and continue to conduct research on behavioral decision making across a variety of
risk management contexts in agriculture (e.g., food safety, antibiotic resistance,
herbicide resistance), the environment (e.g., wildfire management, wildlife
management, water quality, air quality, climate change mitigation), and public health
(e.g., climate change and infectious disease, environmental public health).
